Once upon a time, when I was very young, I picked up a camera and never wanted to put it down. All of the work I do is inspired by capturing each precious moment. I’m not in it for the simple, pretty images; I want your emotions, feelings, and details to be eternally captured in the photograph. I make an emotional connection with my clients to the extent I feel like I’ve known them my whole life. I’m so happy that many of them have become my friends. Their stories make up my “Love Tales Through Images” collection.
I am a hugger. European roots took their toll on me, and I’ve also quickly embraced the Southern charm culture pretty quickly. I love giving hugs to people! Don’t be surprised to get one when we meet.
I have a travel bug. Perhaps it’s because my family was always on the move when I was a child; or maybe in a previous life I was a flight attendant! Either way, I feel anxious if I stay at home for too long. I love to explore new places and learn about different cultures. It’s always interesting to meet new people and hear their unique, powerful story. Humans of New York is one of my all-time favorites reads.
If I could trade lives with anyone for a day I would trade with Kate Middleton. Because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to wear all of those fancy outfits all the time and have tea parties at the palace? I love sunsets and sunrises, the ocean, nature, pastel colors and empty city streets in the morning.
I find it easy to emotionally invest in other couples when I see the love they have for each other because I recognize it. I adore my husband and our little son. When I’m not behind the lens or keyboard I can usually be found with my family making fun memories. Most of that fun happens when I chase our toddler around trying to take a photo of him, or when I catch him generously placing all of my camera lens hoods in the recycling bin.
Life is all about the moments we spend with the people we love. That’s why I LOVE weddings! It is so magical to witness the big day of two people in love and committed to each other.
It’s the beginning of their way of life together; the start of those precious family moments that make our life complete.
