Good evening precious,
I’m so excited to add this new post today. I got really luck to work with Maeberry Vintage store which is located in SLC downtown. As I mentioned before fashion photography is my passion. This time my excitement about the shoot was doubled or even tripled because I got a chance to see and take pictures of these beautiful outfits from 50’s. As we know, women’s roles were greatly changed in the 1950s, with the men coming back from war and taking their jobs back. During World War II women had taken men’s jobs while they had been away at war. After the war, many women wanted to keep their jobs.
Women really progressed in the fifties with finding new job opportunities and finding their place in society. Not necessarily the role of the happy and obliging housewife but a role of a woman who has helped out in the war and who has risen above society’s standards. Women who voiced their opinions and became more independent than ever. But never lost their charm and fashion sense.
Me and the girls celebrated that era with our fun photoshoot. Michelle did a FANTASTIC job on Hair and Make up. She really brought back the feeling of 50’s. And of course, Madison was a perfect model for this.
PS. More to come soon! 😉
