Winter engagements are so special to me. I just love the feeling of magic that the Christmas season brings. All these engagements happening in winter make me think about the fairy tales, like when a prince meets his princess and they decide to start their “happily ever after.” Tanner and Lauren are on their way to their “happily ever after” as well. Lauren reminded me of princess Jasmine. She has beautiful smile and gorgeous dark hair. And her prince charming, Tanner, treats her as such. It was touching to see the way he is looking at Lauren and cares about her. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. I love to meet people in love. I love to see them being happy.
Both of these love birds are from warm places. That’s why they wanted their engagements to be done in winter time. We picked a trail in Little Cottonwood canyon and walked around trying not to sink into the snow.
This shoot was also an adventure because my car tires kept spinning in the snow and we couldn’t get out of the parking lot! But brave Tanner, just like a prince, saved the day by shoveling the snow away from the car and helping us to get free.
