Utah Valley wedding photographers are always on the look for new engagement locations in Salt Lake City. I am myself always wanted to take photos at the Main Library in Salt Lake City. I was happy when Jordan and Kaitlyn agreed to take photos there. They are such a cute couple! Don’t you love their pretty faces?
The lighting at the Main Library didn’t disappointed. I loved how we were able to use natural lighting there. Our shoot was during the day which usually could make it harder to take soft photos, but the roof of the library helped to cover harsh sun from above but still have some lighting coming through the windows. The only lighting issue that I didn’t like to deal with was a mixed ambient and lamp lighting right next to the bookshelves. I had to make it really warm in my post processing to compensate the cool tones of natural light. It even looks like I used flash for that series of photos, but I promise I didn’t. I just really wanted to use the bookshelves in the photos 😉
It was interesting to shoot at the library, because I had to be very quiet with my directions. But this couple didn’t really need to be directed as they are naturally very cuddly and cute.
Lauren Day Artistry did a wonderful job on Kaitlyn’s make up. Check her out here.
